HP ENVY Phoenix 810-135qe PC

HP ENVY Phoenix 810-135qe
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello folks,

I'm new to the forum so please bare with me and forgive me in advance but, I need help. I have a HP ENVY Phoenix 810-135qe that I need to speed up. This unit is a CTO running win 7 pro 64-BIT and has 32 gigs of memory and a I-7 processor. I have scanned multiple times for viruses or malware and Norton NIS has found none.

Can anybody please help me on what to do? HP told me this was supposed to be a rocket but I surely 'don't see it. I have a HP pavilion HPE CTO I-7, win pro 64 BIT 16 gigs of memory that runs faster then the ENVY.

Any direction would be great and much appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Bones

Hi,

We are going to need a lot more detail about what and when is your PC not performing well.

What changes have you made to your PC since it was delivered new?

What diagnostics procedures have you tried?

Hi Bid Dave and thank you for your interest. I have made no changes to the machine. HP has taken stuff out of the startup but other then that, They said its fine. Well I just don't see the performance. If you tell me where to go to get more detail, I get right on it sir. I'm in California, (Encinitas) and early to bed and early to rise so please help me with what you need and where to find it and I will make it happen.

Thank you in advance sir,

Bones

Hi,

The community can't help you unless you provide more information.  Barring that, you should backup your data and use the HP external recovery media to restore your PC to a factory day one condition.

Hi Dave,

Sorry for the misunderstanding. At this point I have backed up all data. The only diagnostics I have performed is Norton scans, HP support assistant scans, made sure I have the updated drivers.

HP took remote of my computer and took things out of the start up but really didnt help. I added 16 gigs of more memory thinking that would help since in the event log I get this event 500 thing. It says something to the fact my PC is not optimized or something like that but I believe it references memory. The computer recognizes all the memory and the computer scores are all in the high 7's with the exception of the HD which is 5.0. Oh and day one the computer was a big let down for me. It was not fast from the start.

Hi,

A performance rating of 5.0 for a hard drive is about average.

Tell us more about the hardware in your PC.

Hi Dave,

Same here... my ENVY 810-135qe has felt sluggish from day 1.

It bothers me becaus I like HP Customer Support but their products seem to towards a downward spiral.

I am also thinking of purchasing 2 - 2TB SSDs to see if that would be noticeably faster.
