My Envy All in one shows two graphics sources. Intel HD 530 and the add on Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M. Can I safely disable the Intel graphics as they seem redundant?

I understand that you PC show two graphics card and you need to know whether you can disable intel graphics on your PC.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

You cannot disable the integrated graphics however, you can disable discrete graphics on your PC by going to BIOS.

By default, a computer with Dynamic Mode switchable graphics uses the integrated, or power-saving, GPU for most applications. The computer will automatically switch to the discrete, or high-performance, GPU when an application requires more performance. Customers can configure which applications require the high-performance GPU by selecting the application in the Catalyst Control Center software. When an application is configured to use the high-performance GPU, the computer switches graphics solutions when the application is started or closed.

That's all good, but I don't have a notebook and don't want to treat this like a notebook. Is there no way to always use the dicscrete GPU since I don't need to save power or worry about heat?

The fact that the discrete graphics card is system managed and is dynamic, you are using it everytime it needs to be used depending on the kind of applications you run on your computer.
