HP Pavilion 21-h010 TouchSmart All-in-One Desktop PC (ENERGY STAR)

HP Pavilion 21-h010 TouchSmart
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

The HP Pavilion 21-h010 TouchSmart All-in-One Desktop PC was working fine no problems, and overnight it shut down. Tried powering it up and nothing happened no power on light, fan did not power up.

Ordered a new AC Adaptor for it, and still no power to the computer.

Opened the computer and looked for any signs of burned componets and there was none. What is you opion as to the problem.

Bill.

@MrBillVTX

Try removing AC adapter and main battery.

Then hold down power button for 10-15 seconds.

Then attach AC only and try to boot.

Where is the Main Battery, from what I looked up about the computer the AC Adaptor is the only power supply.

Do you have or can you obtain an image of the inside of the computer showing where the internal battery is located?

@MrBillVTX

Just looked it up and I should have known it does not have a battery.

All I can suggest then is remove the AC and hold down the power button for 10-15 seconds.

Sorry.

Can you send me a link where you looked it up what you did?

Are the two large black oblong items at the bottom of the internal setup the internal batteries or are those speakers?

Do know also where I can see a scematic showing the internal devices?

Do you believe maybe that the power switch is bad?

Could perhaps, be a bad mother board?

Well I tried your suggestion holding down the power button with the AC Adaptor unplugged for 15 - 20 seconds, and then plugged in the AC adaptor.

This time I got a green light beside where to AC power plugs in, I tried to power up the unit, but nothing happened.

I retried the same procedure several times still nothing happened.

I left the AC power plugged up overnight and tried it again still nothing happened.

Any other suggestions you can recommend?

Bill.

Did you ever find a solution for this problem? I have an HP Pavilion 21-h013w TouchSmart All-in-One Desktop PC and it did the same thing. It worked fine yesterday, and this morning it won't turn on. It has power to it, but the fans don't come on and the screen stays blank. Thanks.
