Hi,

Have had my HP Pavilion 23 for about 15 months. After 10 months, the screen went and that was fixed under warranty no problems.

Since then (I think it's completely unrelated) it started getting really tempremental about connecting to the internet and now it just doesn't at all.  I've checked its not the  WiFi strength by moving it around the house and nearer the modem but it makes no different: just shows full bars and active connection but then won't load internet pages or my mail.  The whole thing just sits there trying to load and driving me mad.

It's like working in the 90s.

My WiFi's fine - I can access the internet on my phone and my husband's laptop at exactly the same spot as my PC.

Advice on how to resolve this ASAP please! I need the internet for my research.

Hello again Lulabelle6,

Thank you for the update on which operating system you have. I am providing you with an HP Support document: Troubleshooting Wireless Network and Internet (Windows 😎, which will walk you through the steps for Windows 8 as well as additional steps you can try. The first subject in the document " Before you begin: use Windows 8 diagnostic and troubleshooting tools" actually has the steps for Windows 8 for what I was trying in my last post.

Please review the entire document and follow it to its conclusion. Thank you again for posting on the HP Forums. Have a wonderful day!

Not yet. Even when plugged into the router into wouldn't connect to a website. I had connectivity for long enough to check my emails on Sunday but then it stopped again.

We're going to check our router tonight but as all other devices are working fine, not sure what it's going to tell us.

It would help if you identified your desktop PC with its complete product name or product number and stated the installed operating.
