I tried to upgrade my Pavillion Desktop a67744uk from Windows Vista to Windows10 and got the orange and white screen of death after startup. The Win10 install did not even start - it just stopped with the cursor blinking on the screen.
I contacted Microsoft and they stated that this HP model cannot be upgraded to Windows10 because HP have not released the correct drivers. Can anyone confirm whether this is correct?
I am running with 8Gb memory (upgraded from 4Gb) and have upgraded the original disk to solid state so the desktop is running Vista (64-bit) very well and it is fast. However the applications are no longer supported and I need to upgrade to Windows10.
Any advice on what to do?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I understand you are having an issue with upgrtading to Windows 10. I will be glad to help you.
If you go to Microsoft Windows 10 page. it shows requirement to upgrade " Qualified Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 devices can upgrade" So the computer had to be sold with Windows 7 or 8. MIcrosoft does not support devices before Windows 7 can out.
