Hey there! @jbassnman, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand your PC restarts and shuts down on its own.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

Do you get any error message before the PC shuts down?

Does your PC shutdown or restart in BIOS?

Please provide the product number of your PC to assist you better.

Try performing a BIOS default on your PC and check if it helps.

To boot into BIOS turn on your PC keep tapping the F10 key, you will boot into BIOS.

From the main or file menu select restore defaults, Select yes to confirm.

Press F10 to save changes and exit and check if the issue persists.

If the issue persists try updating BIOS and chipset drivers on your PC and check if it helps.

To update drivers on your PC download and install HP support assistant on your PC, it will find the best and latest driver for your PC.

Refer this article to know how to use HP support assistant.

I'll keep an eye out for your response.

I hope you have a great day! 🙂
