I have an HP Simplesave 1TB backup drive connected to a WinXP SP3 PC. I've been backing up my data for a couple of years. Over that time, i've re-organized and cleaned up my PC from time to time, but the backup still has everything that ever was. I'd like to clean off the backed up data and start a fresh backup. But the drive holds its own program installation, so I can't reformat it. How can I toss the old data and start fresh without breaking the application?
