I have a HP Pavilion Slimline s5503w that I have had for about two and half years. I haven't used it very much mostly for schooling. I have tried everything to erase everything off the hard drive, but still no success. I need everything deleted as soon as possible. I want everything on the hard drive gone. I have already taken everything I need off of the computer and put in on a disk or a USB. I have talked to HP experts online, but they keep sending me different places saying they can't help my problem.
According to HP"s Simple Save site, it is possible to format the entire Simple Save drive. The page I found is old, but the logic and guide (under Vista OS) is current. Just follow the guide to format the drive. You can also download the SimpleSave program to re-install it from here. Just select your drive.
This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..

I just formatted the SimpleSave drive so it's now just another hard drive with no software on it. Now I just right click the folders on my PC that I want to back up and select "Send to" and send them to the SimpleSave drive. I'm using it as a backup drive just as before. I'm just backing up manually instead of automatically. No biggie.
