HP Touch Smart 320-1030 Error:No boot disk has been detected or the disk has failed

@Brooklyn718, welcome to the forum.

This error message is telling you that the hard drive has failed.  Your only option is to replace it.  You can test it further by using the SMART test from the BIOS.

Here is a guide to help you replace it.  You should buy a hard drive that is the same size or larger so the Recovery media will work.

Here are the specifications of the existing hard drive:

Size: 1 TB

  • Interface: SATA
  • Rotational Speed: 7200 rpm

You should buy one that is the same size or larger than the on that you are replacing to assure that the Recovery media will work.  Here is a HDD that should work.
