HP Z600 Rev B
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

I recently aquired a hp z600 , and wanted to upgrade it. As ive had one of these before i ordered 2x x5660s for it. After much trial and error. I discovered that it will only run one of these cpus at a time (Im not sure if this chip is even supported at all) this being due to it having a boot block of 09, and not 10.

So now im lookiong for the best/and most powerful alternative, which seems to be the x5590.

Could andy one tell me that these are supported for working in a dual enviroment on a rev b hp z600.

Is there a better chip that i can use instead?

Most of the x55xx chips seem to be supported but these are not mentioned in the documents

Thanks
