HP Z600 & Z800 Workstations support Nvidia Quadro M4000 8GB Grpahic Card? 

 

Can the defual power supply hand the wattage from the new GPU's?

 

Currently running Nvidia Quadro FX4800 graphic card.

Possible, but has not been tested. Power draw should be fine, but BIOS memory region size requirements and fan tables that may need to be tweaked for the newer card, may make this a: go ahead and try and hopefully, it will work fine, but is not supported

Hi as per specs the card Nvidia Quadro M4000 8GB ,

 

COMPATIBILITY

 

The NVIDIA Quadro M4000 is supported in the following HP Z Workstations: 

- Z240 Tower, Z440, Z640, Z840

 

The card is not tested with Z600 and Z800 units.

 

Regarding the power the card's  Maximum Power Consumption is 120 W so the workstation power supply should have 850W, 88% or 1125W recommended.
