HP toolbox freezing computer

Good Morning,

We have a HP 1312 MFP installed on a windows XP Pro SP3 computer in an office, and while it works correctly as soon as it tried to open the HP ToolBox on the computer, the entire computer freezes, then hangs and we are forced to reboot it. Note that all functions work properly without any errors or warning, so we are puzzled as to why the HP ToolBox suddenly tries to pop up, and as the computer completely freezes, it is impossible for us to get an error message or reason of this behavior.

Is there a way to uninstall this toolbox, without hampering the rest of the functionalities like scanning and faxing ?  Personally we do not care about the little messages or warning it tries to get us, we can get by quite fine with the one on the machine's display screen. As a note, it should be noted that there seems to be no uninstall program for this toolbox, nor does it appear in the Add/Remove Programs list in the control panel.

Thank you in advance to any help or hints regarding this situation.
