Hard Drive Check

HP Recommended
HP ProDesk
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

A program running on the HP ProDesk kept locking up so I ran a disk defragment.  After defragment was complete a BIOS blue screen appeared and said to run a Hard Drive Check.  When I selected either the Quick Check or Extensive Check, neither were available?  I cannot get back to my desktop screen now...any advice would be most appreciated.
