Pavilion p6-2469eo
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I am getting a message every time upon reboot - 511- CPU fan not detected  Press F1 to continue.

Then it starts to operate without problems. This is becoming bothersome.

I detected that the dan does not spin every time i boot up the computer. Sometime it is not even spinning, so I think i have to replace it.

Product name: p6-2469eo

SKU Number: D2K69EA#UUW

Processor type: Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-3350P CPU @ 3.10GHz

My question is which fan do I have to buy? I have found some on the internet but i don't know if it is compartiable with the computer. I will post some links of these I have found to get some feedback, and I hope you can guide/provide me with the relevant information for a new fan.

Thanks in advance.

@thereisnothing,

All you need is a 4 wire PWM fan.  Not the total assembly, just the fan. The actual fan has 4 screws holding it into the metal heatsink.  It would be nice to have the part number off the fan hub.  Here's how to measure the fan.  Example of an 80mm PWM fan.

Thank you very much for the information.

As I opened the case and picked out the fan I found the following information:

  • Cooler Master DC12 0.45A Fan
  • 80x25mm 4W FA08025M12LPA
  • 6 inch 4 Wire

Is it important to be DC12 0.45 fan?

I can't actually buy it, as I live in Denmark and I have not found a seller that can deliver to Denmark.
