OMEN Obelisk Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My PC idles with temperatures of 50-55 degrees C.. Opening a browser this sometimes jumps to 60-65 degrees C.  Playing games (CSGO) the averages are 75-85 degrees C.  Ambient temperature is around 20 degrees C.  Previously the CPU would idle around 30-35 degrees C. Are these temperatures normal? The computer is <2  months old, and I am beginning to worry. I've attempted updating my drivers, ensuring ventilation, cleaning fans, bringing dwn ambient temperature. This is a brand new machine and I'm beginning these temperatures it won't last. What else can I do?

hi Wb2001 - thank you for responding, this sounds encouraging.  I'd be curious to know what steps need to be taken to qualify that what I'm seeing is in fact an issue, if it is covered under warranty, and if so what is the warranty process to redeem. Thankfully, I do not have any important files that need to be backed up.

@overheatingPC,

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
