Product: HP ENVY Desktop - 750-414
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently purchased a new HP Envy Desktop. Backed up the old computer to DVD+R discs (22 discs, hundreds of .wim files). Need to know how to recover these files to the new machine.

There should be a recovery manager in the backup folder.  However, I have read from other users that it will not restore to a new Windows version.  It needs to be from the same version it was backed up from.  See this

Do you still have the older machine, and it is hard drive intact?

Putting the old hard drive into an external case will allow you to access the data folders, that is, Documents, Pictures, Music, Video, and such.  It's then a simple copy process.  If it's a SATA hard drive, this is what I use.

If you do not know, tell me the older unit, and I'll look it up.
