Product: Envy 4520
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I had recently purchased Envy 4520 All in One Printer and have opted for the 3 month trial of Instant Ink, I had filled in all my details including credit card info and had chosen Ink plan of my choice, it says that my printer will tell HP when to send more Ink.

 

What I would like to know is will my printer do this without having to install a wireless router as I do not have one.

Hi,

 

You need to allow your printer to connect to the Internet (HP servers) otherwise how can HP know the status of your printer.  When nearly running out of inks, printer will send a request and system will send inks to your home.
