Intel Graphics repeatedly fail and then automatically recover.
Events happen when scrolling web browsers (Chrome, Mozilla).
HP Support Assistant says I have the most recently updated drivers.

The problem occurred with the factory installed version first.
The display crash problems occurred before and after at least one system REFRESH and before I tried a new graphics driver.
I did try to update it once using an Intel-supplied driver (I think that's the version running now) and that did not fix the problem nor did it cause any new problems.
