Is it possible to replace the HP motherboard with aftermarket ones?

750-114
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The default configuration I have is an i7-6700 with 12Gb of RAM, I can bump it to 16Gb by replacing the 2 modules with 2x8gb DDR3L which would cost me about $60

I already have 16gb DDR4 ram that I'm not using, was wondering if I can replace the MB with something else? Since they MB now is an uATX which is the same as an mATX

Hi,

Whay not ? All you need to know

(a) Form factor to fit to the right holes for those screws

(b) Very importance: places to connect the PSU, if your plan is to upgrade the PSU too then it doesn't matter which one as long as they use standard connectors - in this case, you can upgrade the tower too (aka build your own machine).

Regards.
