Hello,

since some days, my wifi dissapeared, which has worked fine for a long time.

Troubleshooting the networks and its adapters did not bring a solution.

the wireless adapter RTL8111DL, and its driver software 802.11n are ot shown anymore in the device manager.

I get code 45 after all the troubleshooting.

I did not install other software before. It just happend overnight.

Somebody has some advice for me?

Thank you.

Hi:

The RTL8111DL is not the wireless network adapter.  It is the etheret (wired) adapter.

If the wireless just disappeared all of a sudden, you can safely assume the wireless card has failed and needs to be replaced.

The easiest thing to do would be to purchase an external USB wireless network adapter to resolve the problem.

Hi Sir,

thank you for your feedback.

Indeed , it is the 802.11n part that is missing. The wireless.

Strange that overnight LAN part is just getting broke.

I read on internet it happened more, due to updates withing windows 10.

Did you hear about that?

Thx

BR

You're very welcome.

It could be...

See if running this troubleshooting software works for you...

This package provides HP Sure Connect (HP Wireless Rescue Tool) for supported models running a supported operating system. HP Sure Connect automatically recovers the driver of a communications device that has stopped functioning.

As far as the wireless adapter suffering a hardware failure, that's what happens.  You don't normally get any warning.

It goes out like switching off a light.
