Mediasmart 3.0 update for EX470/475???

[ Edited ]

Hi All,

HP announced back in October (and previously) that they would release Mediasmart software version 3.0 for the EX470/475/485/487 in December...Anyone seen any news on this?

It's expected to require a factory reset, so my 2.5T system is sitting relatively inactive in anticipation.

Thanks!

No such luck. It's coming but HP is apparently in no hurry to satisfy their customers. I keep an eye on http://www.wegotserved.com because they're usually one of the first sites to announce things like server software updates.

Their lack of even an estimated availability date make me wonder if they understand how many of us there are chomping at the bit for 3.0.

Thanks, I've been following that post as well.

Lot's-o-folks are indeed waiting for this update...wonder if it will be one of those "December 31th 11:59pm" releases.

Any comment, HP?

Jim - you can't.  Apparently HP doesn't actually care enough about all its customers to have made a sufficient number of these discs.  You are basically screwed.  But don't take it personally - you're not alone.  And understand - they were only doing you a favor in the first place.  **bleep** - don't know if I'll buy an HP again.
