Memory Upgrade for HP Firebird 802

HP Recommended

Hey, I'm looking to upgrade my Firebird 802 memory from 4gb to 8.

Can anyone confirm if this module is compatible with my computer?

Thanks!

Thanks, it's just that I want to upgrade to 8gb. I believe the Firebird has 2 slots, so I need 2x - 4gb modules.

Hi,

It says/shows in there: 2 slots and 8GB max. The link shows RAM type and brand, does not mean the capacity

Regards.

Those should work to upgrade your Firebird to 8GB RAM. They appear to meet the requirements I've copied and pasted from HP's Firebird web pages. Also, it appears you have 30 days to return them for refund or replacement if they don't work as expected.

  • 240-pin DDR2-DIMMs
  • Use PC2-6400
  • Unbuffered, non-ECC
  • 1.8 V memory only
  • 8.0 GB maximum installable memory.
  • For better performance, use the same DIMM type for both sockets.
2 x HP Firebird 802 + 2 x HP 2159m monitor + Windows 7 Home Premium + Windows 8.1 Pro
GeForce Driver Version 266.58 WHQL installs correctly without modification.
GeForce Driver Version 296.10 WHQL requires modified NV_DISP.INF file to install correctly but Nvidia Control Panel is broken.
GeForce Driver Version 341.44 WHQL requires modified NV_DISP.INF file to install correctly but 2-way SLI is broken.
