Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

So I was recently cleaning my pc, and like a idiot I blow dryed it with a blow dryer. I moved the ram stick to another one, and plugged back everything and turned the computer back on. But,after I turned it on, the monitor was pitch black, and wasen't giving any signals, so I researched about this, I reset the ram sticks, and everything but it still didnt work. So I reset the CMOS battery. And it worked, however now there is a blue tint. I hooked up the monitor, and the VGA cable to my laptop, and the monitor was normal. Also when I try to change colors it did not work, but in the menu I can see both, yellow, and White. Can anyone please help?! Thank you.

Hi @Reed71,

Good day.:)  A very warm welcome to you. I came across the post regarding the computer having display issues. I will be delighted to assist you with this.

Superb description, commendable troubleshooting and splendid diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. 🙂 Thanks for doing business with HP.I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂

You’ve done all the basic troubleshooting steps by reseating RAM modules and hooking up the computer to an external screen also. The issue still persists. So please contact HP phone support to get the unit serviced.

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number, Case number and phone number appear.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.

If the unit is under warranty, the manufacturer’s warranty should take care of it for you. If it is deduced as accidental damage, then support could be fee-based.

Hope this helps.  Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. 🙂  Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you.  🙂

To simply say thanksplease click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.

Take care now and have a splendid week ahead. 🙂
