Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

No error messages, no software updates,  OS was installed when purchased. Out of date warranty. Randomly monitor goes blank. It will go off and on two times in succession then I can work again. Do I need a new monitor or a new vidio/monitor board for my tower?

Hi @CPO89,

Thank you for posting on HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I came across your post and wanted to assist you. I see from the post that you are having issues with the Monitor screen goes blank randomly. Don't worry as I have a few steps to help you get through this concern,

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Have you tried connecting this monitor to another PC?

Have you done all the Windows updates?

Have you tried running the Windows troubleshooter?

Have you run the  HP Support Assistant to aid with any HP updates?

Let's start off by updating the Bios, Chipset drivers and Graphics card drivers from our HP support website, using this link.

If the issue persists, I would suggest you install the graphics card drivers from the manufacturer's website.

Eagerly waiting for your response!

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

Regards,
