Dear Sir/ Maddam,

I'm not sure if I can write my question in Dutch so I'll formulate it in English. However it would be great if someone could reply in Dutch, this way my cliënt can also read the anwser correctly.

A client of mine purchased the HP260-A101ND desktop. He failed to instal proper anti-virus software and now has a defective motherboard. He wishes to replace this motherboard but he is unsure wich one to buy and where to buy one.

I hope you could steer us in the right direction.

Kind regards,

Sjoerd Mulder

@MulderS,

Explain why you believe the motherboard is defective?

Does it still boot?  Can you install and run malwarebytes?

Dear Dean,

Thanks for your reply. The desktop in question is not my own. I'm a Social Worker and the desktop belongs to a client of mine. I'm guessing that my client used the internet without installing some kind of anti-virus software. He then dropped off his computer at a repair shop. The shopkeeper told him that he could repair the desktop if my client bought a new motherboard.

So I personally have not seen the broken dekstop. I'm familiar with malwarebytes, but also wanted to check which parts to buy if the desktop is truly unsaveable.

Thanks for your reply.

Kind regards,

Sjoerd
