Mouse doesn't work after battery was changed

I purchased an HP Wireless Comfort mouse about three months ago.. my battery went dead today and after changing it, the red light on top of the wheel keeps flashing whenever i move the mouse or try connecting..

Any idea as to what this means?

Re: Mouse doesn't work after battery was changed

I've had similar problems with mice when I used rechargable batteries and batteries that were not changed the same- one half drained the other full. Simply try new batteries, of a different brand both from the same package. You can use the batteries that are not working in something else.

I am an HP employee expressing my own opinion.

Re: Mouse doesn't work after battery was changed

Wireless mice, often have a reset button on the base, If the batteries are not the problem this could be your solution.
