My HP Support Assistantis no longer available

HP Pavillion Desktop P6610         Windows 7  64-bit     When I click on the HPSupport Assistant Icon, it says that it is not available or not there.    I think that I may have deleted or removed it somehow, a long time ago, before I really knew what it was or that I might need it.  My technical expertise, now, is mid-level.  How do I get the HP Support Assistant back?

Solved!

My HP Support Assistantis no longer available

Hi,

Try the following

First of all, make sure that HP Support Assistant has been uninstalled by opening windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features - if you see an entry for HP Support Assistant, right click it and select Uninstall.  When this process has completed, restart the PC.

Next download and install the latest version of HP Support Assistant from the page on the link below - the download links are towards the bottom of the page.

After the installation, restart the PC again.
