@Tipperary17,

You can contact this source to purchase a full set of Recovery disks. There are 2 different sets for the dx2300 XP, so you will need to 'search" for the correct product #, (from the label on the machine".

 It is fraught upon to assist anyone with password hacking.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..

I don't understand.

If it was "security-wiped", then the entire disk-drive would be "blank", and without Windows installed, there's no way that it should be asking for a "Windows password".

Are you seeing a password-prompt immediately after powering-on the computer?

If so, that's a password stored on the CMOS chip on the motherboard.

Since you have physical access, open the case, after disconnecting the AC power.

Look for a jumper covering pins #1 and #2 and exposing pin #3, labelled 'CMOS Reset' (or something like that).

Move the jumper to cover #2 and #3. Wait 60 seconds. Return the jumper to its #1/#2 position.

Connect the AC power, and reboot.

Hopefully, that password was deleted.
