No sound internal speakers

HP Recommended

I have a 110-311-A desktop computer - product J1E18AA#ABG that does not seem to work on internal speakers.

I can get the sound through external speakers & a headsets.  If these are disconnected theres no sound.  I go into the control panel > sound & press the test keys to hear it, an error comes up saying i need to connect the speakers or headset or saying they are not detected. No cds will play either, the message keeps asking to plug the speakers in.

Can you please help with the settings in realtek etc. I have updated the drivers but they were all up to date. It is just not working.

Sound/audio installed is:  Integrated Realtek ALC662.

Thanks for your help

Bubby14, welcome to the forum.

The computer itself doesn't have speakers.  What is the make/model of the monitor that has the internal speakers?  Once I have this information, I will see what I can do to help you solve your problem.
