HP Compaq Elite 8300 MT
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

We are performing first trials how to deploy driver patches via SCCM to our HP business clients. As a pilot we looked into some Elite 8300 MT desktops equipped with NVS 310 dual graphics board.

The installed driver is definitely outdated (version 297...) which contains a vulnerability beside some reocurring flash plugin issues.

We published the driver form SCUP to SCCM, but the SCCM doesnt recognize the actual version 376... as required in its list of SW updates.

In additional testings,  I installed HP support assistant on one of these ws, this software doesnt find any required updates which looks quite strange, the SCCM image was build a few years ago.

Any ideas ?

We are planning to use SCCM to patch all our business clients - when we get it to work ...

Try Softpac Download Manager to build a driver pack. I think that works with the Elite 8300's.

If not, you will need to look at the system the NVS 310 came from and download the driver pack from that system and bundle it with the rest of the drivers for the system that the card is in and put that in to SCCM, I believe. (Not an SCCM expert.)

That should be worth a try, but the intention of using SCCM/SCUP with HP business clients update catalog is to perform this task fully automated for any client type. We take care for some probooks and POS systems and some other HP professional clients, too.

Maybe we could find anyone at HP who is a specialist for SCCM ?

You can try to use the following NVIDIA driver. If this does not work, please attach the snapshot for the task sequence and drivers?
