PC Bios ROM family SSID 2B28 in perpetual "installing" mode

Slimline Desktop 450-a114
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Update never gets to installation point. Stays in the "installing" function for days

Foamer59, welcome to the forum.

 

The BIOS update should only take minutes, not days.  Are you using the Recommended method to install it?  If so, you should run HP and Windows Updates to assure the software and drivers are up to date.  Then, try running the setup again.

PC Bios ROM family SSID 2B28 in perpetual "installing" mode

Windows updates are up to date according to a couple of scans, the only HP update due is the SSID 2B28.
