Pilot light inoperative

My computer:  HP Omni100PC

 

The computer works normally, however the LED pilot light no longer functions.  It should be off when shut down, beige when sleeping and blue when in operation.  It no longer comes on under any corcumstance and therefore I can't tell at a glance if the computer is shut down or just sleeping.   The power switch works. 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

While your away, here's the good and the worst of news.

Here is your computer, it's an AIO. The LED that your asking about is part of the "cable - Button + LED, Niagara". The part is called HP Power Switch/led Assy,omni 100, HP part # 620577-001. it's priced over $80.00.

I am including the Upgrade and Service manual as shown here. You might be able to inspect the cable assembly and the power switch module. Hope this meets your expectations.

What is the exact model number? Saying HP Omni100PC is akin to saying I have a Chevy. 100-5xxx  ??

I will use the service manual at my first opportunity to see if anything simple is wrong, such as a loose or severed connection.  Don't know if I want to spring for $89 but who knows.   

 

re your survey:  Thanks for the quick reply on 1/26, one day after I provided you with the model number according to the date on your posting.  However, I returned on 1/31 and did not receive my email notification until Feb 2nd.
