Ralink WLAN Utility

I have found this utility in my Control Panel and have no idea what it does. I presume it has something to do with wireless connectivity, but do I need it in addition to what I already have. I'm running an HP Pavilion Elite HPE.

Re: Ralink WLAN Utility

Hi,

The Operating system should be able to manage wireless card thru its driver. You don't need it and it won't hurt the machine.

Regards.

Re: Ralink WLAN Utility

My newly installed Ralink WLAN Utility  gave me 2 hours shut down by itself. I have tough time to use my computer now!

I try to switch to hotspot instead of Wi-Fi direct connet now. I could not even browse online using Wi-Fi direct.

What is the benefit of utlity  for me? Why is there two options?
