HP Pavilion Desktop - 510-p057
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there.

I created a system recovery file that HP offers as a once only thing to do for your PC in case there is a need to do a system restore back to factory settings. So I did this on a 32gig usb drive and after the second attempt it worked. I am now aware that this is a once only thing and cannot be done again according to the HP support page.

Somehow a member of my household grabbed that stick tried to put a file on it which of course didnt work because it was formatted for hte HP files and in frustration, formatted the stick, hence wiping all the HP system recovery files on it

I would like to be able to recreate it and this time put it in a safe place! Please advise!

Hello

I see two models for this PC:

510-p057a or 510-p057cn. Neither one offers Order HP Recovery Media option at download page.

You can go to Microsoft download site and use Media Tool to make a USB stick to install windows 10. This would give you backup similar to USB from HP. You must backup personal files and added program products keys for saftey and reuse before using Microsoft USB image.

Then install drivers from HP for your PC to have PC close to factory install.

Grzy
