Recover BIOS Corrupted

Product Name: HP 280 G1 MT
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi Everyone,

 

I have a serious problem, i have donwload the latest Bios for my PC Desktop and Launch the utility to flash him, But something probabilly goes wrong, and now my pc don't boot the operating system.

 

I find a solution in the internet to recover corrupt BIOS using the partition call "HP TOOLS" locate in hard drive, but in my case i Dont' have the partition.

 

Exist another solution to fix the Bios Corrupted?

I Have already read the page you linked me.

 

But the Problem is in my Hard Driver the Partition "HP TOOLS" don't exist because time ago i have formatted the hard drive.

 

There is another procedure to recover the bios?

No, I am afraid not.

 

Please, check with HP Support to see if they can help you remotely by providing you some file.

If this is not an option, you will need to ship or bring the PC for service.

 

 

 

Just FYI -general recommendation I provide to users/customers is NOT to upgrade BIOS/UEFI unless they experience any kind of specific BIOS/UEFI issue. Updating just for updaing and just for using the latest verson is not solution. Any kind of update (no matter for what and who relesed it) can fix 2 issues but may introduce 10 more issues. Additionally, upgrading the BIOS (for any vendor) poses more risks because BIOS recovery is not that easy as compared to typical software updates IF something goes wrong.

 

Same applies for Windows Updates, OS update, drivers updates, etc - upgrade/update IF you have issues which you know are fixed in the newer version or for some severe security issues. Otherwise, keep the existing version as long as possible.

I have have download a latest version of Bios on the HP Product PAge, is an Exe file and when i launch i propose to create a Recover Bios Flash USB, i launch this procedure and is finish, my USB DRIVE is renamed to "HP_TOOLS", so i put the pendrive to PC Desktop turn off computer, press the windows key + B and press the powerbutton dor 2-3 second and release but continue holding the Windows button + B, but nothing appear to the screen.
