Hp pavilion 22xi
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Ive got hp pavilion 22xi monitor and after i shut down my pc i can see red "ghostk of my dsktop icons,i tried dissconecting my video cable to identify is my problem in gpu or monitor,but the image stays on screen even though there is no video cable connected
Plesase help monitor isnt psyhicaly damaged and my warranty expired about a month ago ...

Hi! @Kopi, Welcome to HP forums.

 

I understand you see red desktop icons even after disconnecting the videos cable on your PC or shutting down the PC.

 

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

 

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

 

Have you tried using a different VGA cable?

 

Try using HDMI or DVI-D cable and check if the issue persists.

 

From the display, menu select reset factory defaults and check if it helps.

Whole deskto image stays in red color after shutting down pc,i remived all video cables and when turn only the monitor on i can see desktop but only in red color,so the image is "printed" on the display issue is in monitor not the pc.
Cant try hdmi cuz my monitor has only vga and dvi port,also tried factory reset

I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.

 

As you mentioned even after disconnecting the cables you see icons on the monitor.

 

It certainly looks to be a hardware issue, please contact HP support for service options.
