Replacement HD for HP Pavillion P6754Y

Over 6 months ago, I started receiving the dreaded “Hard Drive failure is imminent”. Yes, I took all the precautions. Last night it finally died (to a degree, I was still able to make one final backup). My question is… now that I will have to replace the HD, will the Segate ST310005N1A1AS-RK be okay and work in my HP P6754Y (OS Win7)?

Yes.

The ST310005N1A1AS-RK will work. Your desktop PC does use SATA hard disks. The  one you have chosen is a SATA300 type which is downwardly compatible to the SATA specification.
