Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi:

Here is how to update the dc7800 BIOS without having to be in Windows...

I have zipped up and attached the DOS based BIOS flash files below (v01.35 Rev.A(27 Nov 2015)).

1. Get a USB flash drive, and format it with the FAT 32 file system.

2.  Download and unzip the file I attached to its folder.

3.  Copy the file contents of the unzipped folder to your USB flash drive.  Just the files in the folder, not the folder itself.

4. Restart the PC, and at the beginning of the HP welcome screen, tap the F10 key to get access to the BIOS.

5.  Select the File menu>Flash System ROM command.

6.  Select the USB flash drive, and now the PC should see the BIOS files on the flash drive.

7.  Follow the on screen instructions to update the BIOS.

When updating the BIOS, you should disconnect everything attached to the PC except the keyboard, monitor, mouse and the flash drive with the BIOS files on it.
