Security error

I am trying to download a small program and I keep receiving the following message....."your security settings have blocked a self-signed application from running." How do I work around this problem? What should I do? Please help. Many Thanks.

Re: Security error

Hi Norman,

As long as you're satisfied the program is safe, you need to change the following.

Open windows Control Panel - in the top right, next to 'View by:' select Large Icons from the dropdown box.

From the new list, open Java, select the Security tab and adjust the level to Medium.  Click Apply and Ok to save this change.

I would definitely suggest setting this level back to High ( Minimum recommended ) when done.
