HP Pavilion Desktop - 550-300n
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

It takes more than a minute from I press the start button on my Pavilion Desktop 550-300no PC till I get a starting screen. Any solutions to this?

Hi hclemensen

There are a lot of variables that can cause slow boot and molasses like Windows load times.

1.Hardware limitations. Processor, memory, and traditional HDD's can all cause this problem. I installed an SSD. Startup times and general OS responsiveness have been greatly improved.

2. Many programs launching at startup. I have seven programs start when windows 10 loads. How many do you have?

Open Task Manager. Click on the Startup tab. How many programs are starting when Windows loads?

When did this start happening? Are you running the Creator's Update? I have found this new version of Windows 10 is somewhat of a process hog. For example, I have Win 7 using about 67 processes at idle. Window 10 uses a whopping 129 processes.

Grzy
