Speakers sound very tinny. It doesn't seem to be the speakers themselves, they play fine on another

New HP p6803w desktop. Speakers sound very tinny and echo. Tested the speakers out on CD player and they are fine. Is there something that can be done or is this a problem with this model of computer? Speakers are Gigware 2.0 Multimedia.

Are you certain that your PC's sound software does not have an effect selected?

Creative makes some decent PC speakers that don't sound tinny. You can always go with Bang & Olufsen or Harman-Kardon brands for high end PC speakers. An alternative would be to connect your PC to your stereo.
