I bought a new HP Pavilion Desktop 510-a010 computer from Best Buy on May 4, 2017. When I open the computer, I get a blue screen with the following message: “The following information programmed into the system board is missing or invalid: System Board (100A), Product Names, Product Serial Number, Product Number.” How can I get rid of this? A new computer should not be doing this. (It goes away after I hit the spacebar, and I can use the computer.) I have installed an updated Windows 10 and Bios (time consuming processes), but that did not solve the problem. HP wants me to send my Desktop back to them to fix it. Can it be fixed in some easier way?
Thanks for the help. I am not qualified to mess with the motherboard. My HP Support Assistant says that my warranty is still good. I may just have to live with this. I can't afford to be wtihout my computer long enough to send it to Indiana.
