Touchsmart 610-1120 and touchscreen with Windows 10

Touchsmart 610-1120
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Upgraded to Win 10 with no problems, I found that touchscreen is not available anymore. Looks like under Win 10 there's not a proper driver for handling the touchscreen, is this corret? Or why it's not working on my machine?

Thanks

Touchsmart 610-1120 and touchscreen with Windows 10

Hello @eferrari,

Thank you for being an active member of the HP Support Forums.  I understand that since upgrading to Windows 10 that your TouchSmart 610-1120a Desktop no longer has the TouchSmart feature.   I am confident that I will be able to help you work towards a solution, and I ask only that you pay it forward. When we resolve the issue, I'd like for you to kindly mark the applicable post as Accept as Solution so that others experiencing the same or similar issue can find what worked for you.

I checked the drivers for your desktop and there are currently no Windows 10 drivers available. I recommend that you please start by reviewing Microsoft’s Windows 10 System Requirements to check that it will support Windows 10. It never hurts to use it as a check. Another good reference document is the HP Desktop PCs - Upgrading to Windows 10 document. It has the steps to take before and after upgrading.   The HP Products - Common Solutions for Windows 10 document also has some suggestions for where to find Windows 10 drivers and software for your model.

You can also use the "Windows Update Troubleshooter" link from the following link. You can "Open" or "Save" the troubleshooter. It will work in Win 10, regardless of Windows 7 being in the URL. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Update-troubleshooter. Once launched please use the second option “Background Intelligent Transfer Service", it should lead to a force update of 'Windows Updates' that may not have been automatically applied.

Please return and post the results of your troubleshooting.

Thanks for your answer. Will HP provide drivers or is this model officially discontinued?

Hello @eferrari,

The following statement is from the HP Products - Where Do I Find Windows 10 Drivers and Software for My Model? document and answers your question about Windows 10 drivers.

For computers sold after August 2013 with compatible hardware, HP has tested and approved specific software and drivers to support Windows 10. See hp.com/go/windows10upgradenow to check if your computer model was tested by HP.

If your computer is not tested by HP or software and drivers are not available on the HP site for Windows 10, use Windows Update in Windows 10 to get the latest software and drivers. HP and the other hardware manufacturers of components in your computer will release updated software and drivers in Windows Update when they are tested and approved.
