Pavilion 24xw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

DSC_1139.JPG

I have two Pavilion 24xw monitors bought at the same time, and they appear to both be failing at the same time.  The screen flickers, has lines across it (more pronounced at the edges) and fades at the edges of the screen.  Drivers on my laptop have been reinstalled, and different cables, ports and laptops have all been tried with the same picture issues so it seems not to be a software issue.  The image above shows the horizontal lines across the top of the screen, although the photo quality doesn't show this well.

What could be causing this?  And should they be replaced?

Hello, @AndySV – Hope you are well 🙂

Welcome to the HP Forum! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips.

I see that your HP monitors are not working properly. Good job on diagnosing the issue. You have performed all the relevant checks to determine the issue clearly. Since the monitors are doing the same thing with a different cable and the laptop, I believe the issue could be the hardware.

You can contact the HP phone support for further assistance or replacement.

You can visit http://www.support.hp.com/contact-hp and fill in your product details to get the tech support number.

(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.

(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.

(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.

(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

If you have any troubles, let me know and I will do my best to help!

Good luck 🙂
