How do I adjust settings to take my USB headset and microphone?

GHooper, welcome to the forum.
If I understand your situation, you want to setup your headset and microphone. If this is correct, you go into the Control Panel / Sound and check to assure that your headset and microphone are set as the Default. You would have to install any software or driver that came with them before beginning.

I have a USB headset that I am trying to connect with my HP Envy 23 with Windows 10. I go to settings and cannot find the headset listed under connected devices. This headset does not require a driver to install, so not sure how to get the computer to recognize it. Any suggestions?

Where do I get into the control panel to change the default setting for the headset? I have Windows 10 operating on a HP Envy 23 that does not recognize the UBS headset, which does not come with nor require a driver.
