Hi Folks, am just getting over a recent problem with Microsoft and the Internet Explorer, and they have guided me thru re-installing Windows 7 Pro, but somehow i have lost my Monitor within the Device Manager, and as a result the screen resolution is way out, i can only get a max. of 1600 x 1200, and it should be 1900 x 1280 is a figure i seem to recall, as the monitor is showing as Default, but NOT in the Device Manager, only in the Control Panel, and when i click the 'detect button' nothing happens.
Your help would be much appreciated.

just identify your monitor brand go to website look for your monitor driver based on your monitor model and download version for your system, open device manager and click on add hardware, select manual, look on the list for monitor and select install with disk, open the driver folder and select your inf file with drivers on next screen select the monitor driver version compatible with your system and next --- finish and you all set
