Upgrading memory

HP Recommended
dc 7900 sff
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am attempting to upgrade my sdram from 4 to 16gb. I have a 3031h motherboard with 4 slots. the Specs for a dc7900sff say that it will handle what I am trying to instal but after installing I am not able to get the unit to start. What am I doing wrong?

Thefixer713, welcome to the forum.

I am not certain what you could be doing wrong, if anything.  It could be that the memory you bought is not compatible for some reason.  Here is the memory that is recommended by Crucial Memory.  It is guaranteed to work or it will be replaced without additional cost to you.  Crucial makes good quality memory.

Here is the Technical Reference Guide for the computer.  Beginning on Page 34 you will find the information for the memory.  There is a section on how to load the slots.
