WHAT DOES HIGH CPU USAGE IN INTERNET EXPLORER MEAN?

I  have Windows 7 64 bit, Internet Explorer 9.  When I am on a web side I frequently get a Norton Message that reads "High CP Usage in Internet Explorer.  What does that mean and how can I correct whatever is wrong.

Re: WHAT DOES HIGH CPU USAGE IN INTERNET EXPLORER MEAN?

According to Norton, it is detecting that a program (in this case, Internet Explorer) is using a majority of your system resources. You might could try to run this microsoft performance fix-it to see if it helps http://support.microsoft.com/mats/slow_windows_performance/

Re: WHAT DOES HIGH CPU USAGE IN INTERNET EXPLORER MEAN?

I sometimes get a Norton notification from Norton that I have high CPU usage. What should I do about this?
