You can see my previous posts here and here I was having issues with my Warranty prematurely expiring. Now my monitor is having even more severe issues with losing connection and I need a replacement. After I created that post I was emailed by HP and they claimed to have updated my warranty with the correct expiration and would even be extending my warranty for an additional year due to my trouble contacting HP over the phone for a month and not getting any progress on having the warranty updated.
I just called phone support now to let them know of the situation but I know how this goes so I figured I'd post here as well. They promised me they'd call me back in 24-48 hrs and that this time they will definitely have the situation resolved like they've promised every time previously. Hopefully this issue gets the proper attention here and I can get a functioning replacement for this x2301 model but based on all the issues posted for it here it seems like this monitor is just doomed and the best resolution would be is if HP would allow me to exchange it for a better quality model which they unfortunately denied me the ability to do.

This is NOT official HP Customer Support and I, as most other persons on this forum, do not work for HP. This is a peer-to-peer user supported forum for HP consumer class products. HP maintains no official presence on this forum and it is unlikely that HP will respond in an official capacity. Any reply from a HP employee represents their own opinion and not that of HP's.
I have forwarded this post and your concerns to an HP Forum Moderator for review and possible escalation. You should be contacted on this forum via private message.
