I have not had any error messages and I have reinstalled my hp 3600 series

I understand that you are unable to print from your HP Deskjet 3600 Printer series as you get an option only to save and not to print.
This issue could occur if are printing from Google Chrome.
Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.
When the window opens with the "save" default, click on "change" under the "save" option, select HP Deskjet 3600 Printer. You should be able to get the print option.
Also, let us know if you are printing from Google Chrome browser.
